Velia

Born in Orvieto, studied teaching for the primary school level. In 1996 she left Italy to follow her desire for more life experiences.

Velia worked for Virgin Hotel Company in the United Kingdom in sales, marketing and public relations positions. She also trained in the Conference and Banquets department of Virgin Hotel while spending many hours in the kitchen of a secret restaurant fulfilling her passion for cooking.

After Velia graduated from the University of Derby in Custom Service Care, she decided to return to Italy with Virgin Company for the launch and opening of Palazzo Sasso one of the most beautiful and luxury hotel on the Amalfi Coast.

So, in 2001 she opened her first cooking school in Montepertuso/Positano. She has worked as a consultant to small firms and a large wine company, always searching for the best raw materials, and has been able to develop relationships with a diverse group of people with different backgrounds.

Velia has been described as fun, responsive, creative and trustworthy by colleagues and clients. She is able to completely focus on her clients' needs and takes a personal stake in their experience. She says, "My clients benefit from my experience in the field, my training and my authentic self which I bring to each great cooking experience!"
